Ward 8 State Board of Education – Candidate Forum

Tonight was the Ward 8 State Board of Education Candidate forum.  Held at the Panorama room, there were fewer people in the crowd than I expected. Several of the usual suspects were in attendance: Ward 8 ANC Commissioners, several members of the SBOE candidate squads, Vincent Orange and several other notables in the community. In a room of about 30 people, I’d say less than half were what I would call general community members.

Check out the Tweet roll for some of the quotes that stood out to me during the evening.

Here are a few photos from the event.

  1. Robert Paulson says :

I want to admit, up front, that I am not a parent in Ward 8. However, I am a concerned citizen and I would hate to think that someone with a criminal background would be able to run in Ward 8. And, judging by the videos posted by some of the people here, it’s not going to be long before he gets into even more trouble.

  2. Rex Fowler says :

The brother is messed up in the head, he has forsaken his sacred vows to Islam.

L Ron Hubbard was exactly the type of white devil that the prophet himself warned of, with his abberations of life and faith and his messing around with the satanic Aleister Crowley.

Our brother has been tempted, and the same for Alfreddie Johnson, they’re a pair of long cats sleeping in the wrong beds and they need to wake up. Scientology is a cancer, brothers and sisters, it must be identified and removed before it infects too much.

    • Robert Paulson says :

Rex, /b/rother you are so right. I myself have read about the Scientologists and their interpretation of the end of the world, Tacgnol. I don’t want anyone related to that sort of tomfoolery involved in our District.

Please don’t vote for Tony Muhammad. A vote for him will lose the game.

  3. Lincoln Perry says :

Ha ha ha ha ha. Oh wow. Yes, it always ‘helps’ people when Scientology forces ‘come to their aid’. Nothing like having a scam organization that has a terrible image already hop on to your boat. A quick googling will show the track record of
“Louanne” as an apologist spammer for the Hubbard group.

I’m not even going to get into the Scientology-fueled nosedives of Kirstie Alley or Tom Cruise’s careers, I’m just sayin’ RUN ANTHONY RUN (but not for office here!).

  4. jig says :

    Hi louanne.
Sounds like you are having a type 3 pts moment.
Louanne works for the office of special affairs.
    Scientologys own gestapo organisation.
    Just google OSA.

  5. Louanne Lee says :

You are all a bunch of bigots. Critics and haters always spew this nonsense. Boring!

    • D Wilson says :

Everyone let me introduce you to (Louanne Lee) Scientology OSA member. OSA is the Secrete Police of Scientology and they go after critics of the cult with this thing called FAIR GAME. Google it and her name as well. You will see Louanne is spamming every article on the net that questions Scientology or exposes their cons and abuses. If you are going to vote for Anthony Muhammad, ask yourself why a member of Scientology’s Secret Police needs to comment here? How did they find this post and why are they so interested in this election? Your kids are being targeted by Scientology’s Applied Scholastics and make no mistake Scientology is paying attention to how you vote!

She says anyone who exposes L Ron Hubbard’s racism is a bigot? LOL

    • SFF says :

Have you actually watched the videos below or is this just your usual, “Someone mentioned Scientology on the internet! Must call them a bigot!” nonsense?

    • dedic8edmum says :

I’m sorry Louanne Lee…where is it that your children attend school? I for one am disgusted by Mr. Muhammad’s behavior and I appreciate the people who have brought this to parents (the voters) attention. Boring, I think not! If you have nothing concrete to contribute, perhaps you should refrain from posting.

      Thank You

      • Louanne Lee says :

I don’t have children, I made a personal decision not to have any. What you don’t understand is that my Brother Tony Muhammad was set up by these Final Bosses of the Internet because they have nothing better to do than eat caek and call in terrorist bomb threats. Those are trufax, you can look them up. They have been labeled Suppressive Persons by the Chairman of the Board, Mr. David Miscavige and they support squirreling too. I have lots of concrete to contribute, by the way.

        • steve says :

louanne since when has a religion had a “chairman of the board” but then scientology isnt a religion is it. And since when has the ill educated mescavige had the right to label people, heres some labels for him criminal, bully and liar and whats more louanne if you have plenty of concrete WHY DONT YOU TAKE A BATH IN IT.

    • Rex Fowler says :

oh man I just googled “Louanne Lee” – sister, you need to leave that creepy cult!
Are you serious? You must work 15 hours a day for years to post non-stop defending the criminal operation of scientology inc.

Is this what a cult victim looks like? Do we want our kids turning out like Louanne Lee??

      • Robyn Banx says :

Sane rational parents hardly want their off-spring turning into a $cientology Puppet in the $cientology $cam puppet show.

$cientology has rapidly become the laughing stock of the whole world and will be more so tomorrow, well into the foreseeable future.

Eventually, $cientology will become the most forgotten about cult in the whole world.

However, for now, we do not forget and we do not forgive

        We are legion.

        Expect us, sockpuppets.

        Oh, Hi O$A!

        P.S. We own this.

    • Robyn Banx says :

Louanne; if you can muster the moxie to let us know when you’re so bored you’re catatonic, someone will call EMS for you. You appear close to catatonic now.

EMS crew will take you away from this terribly boring place where a violent $cientology p$ychopath is running for political office.

And then, we’ll all wave and say “Bye bye Louanne. Write if you get work.”

  6. imominous says :

There is a serious merger going on right now. Scientology has reached out to the Nation of Islam, and for some reason they have grasped hands, linking the two organizations in a way that can only end badly for NOI followers.

I say this as one who has studied Scientology for over a decade. Their “doctrine of fair exchange” teaches that you don’t ever get something for nothing. If you don’t pay for it, you don’t respect it, goes the theory. So NOI, what’s in it for you?

What’s in it for the Scientology organization? Refutation that they are racist, perhaps free labor, and a whole brand new pool of suckers to leech off of. Scientology is a scam. It doesn’t work. The organization is abusive; and condones abuse such as displayed by Anthony Muhammad in these videos.

Their drug rehab is a scam. Narconon recruits addicts into Scientology.
Literacy programs expose school children to Scientology theories about life, most of which are ridiculous.

Youth For Human Rights sounds good, except that annoying truth that Scientology Inc. is being investigated by the FBI for human trafficking and slavery. YFHR also lures idealistic college students away from their studies into Scientology.

Members of the Nation of Islam, believe me when I tell you that Scientology seeks only to exploit you and yours. I don’t understand the attraction. The organization’s racist tendencies are written into their doctrine. Scientology is all about paying money to feel superior to others, whom they call ‘Wogs’ regardless of skin color.

You can bank on the fact that Scientology sues at the drop of a hat, so any articles in the media are carefully fact checked. So at least, do some research. Knowledge is power, and knowledge will protect you and your family from being sucked into the maw of Scientology, Inc.

  7. Xenu Mohammed says :

    You are a disgrace Anthony.

  8. Rex Fowler says :

I think he should be jailed.

  9. dedic8edmum says :

As a Mother this disturbs me greatly…firstly his behavior is atrocious, threatening violence is criminal. Secondly I would prefer vote for a candidate that is interested in getting Applied Scholastics OUT of our schools!!

  10. Lila says :

This behavior is disturbing to me.

  11. D Wilson says :

Anthony is pushing Scientology “Study Tech” called Applied Scholastics, it is a con and meant to introduce kids to Scientology.

    L. Ron Hubbard was a well documented racist “Google” it.

  12. D Wilson says :

This is a protest letter going around about Mr. Muhammad’s actions. The worst part is how racist L Ron Hubbard was and for Anthony to be connected to a group that has a history of criminal convictions, fraud, human rights abuses and racism is disturbing to sat the very least.

    Letter Received:

I wanted to inform you regarding the serious nature of the behavior of Mr. Anthony Muhammad of the DC ANC, who is now running for Ward 8 Board of Education.

As you may or may not know, Anthony is a member of the Nation of Islam (NOI), which is, of course, his right. Nevertheless, I am going to list points of concern regarding his behavior.

    1. Anthony is on video making DEATH THREATS against a protester in Washington DC.

    2. He is an active and outspoken supporter of the Nation of Islam and promotes Scientology as well.

    3. He has stated he plans to push Scientology ideology in public schools if given the chance.

Concerning the first issue, the threats, Anthony is on video pointing his fingers at a protester like a gun and making shooting gestures. He then grabs at the protester and pulls on him. On another occasion he sings a song, “we will kill you,” in front of the DC Scientology building, after which the police did an investigation; as of the protester’s last contact with authorities, they were looking for Anthony. Clearly, this behavior alone is reason enough to show he is unfit to hold elected office.

The FBI refers hate group classification to the Southern Poverty Law Center, where the NOI is currently listed as an active hate group. The Nation of Islam’s symbolic hate for Jewish people, whites and Asians is well known. Anthony has been photographed in a NOI uniform, and he actively promotes the NOI doctrine as defined by Louis Farrakhan at various events. I do not want suggest that the NOI and the KKK are the same thing, but there are some similarities, with the biggest one being a hate campaign against other races. Can the DC Schools afford to have this man on their board?

To make matters more complicated, high-level adherents of the NOI are required to participate in Scientology practices. They support the founder of the Scientology organization, L. Ron Hubbard, who was likewise extremely racist. I have included links to videos of his racist comments below as well as other reference to claims I raise herein.

Only recently has Scientology targeted lower income minorities. Recently their organization has been losing large numbers of public members and staff. These ex-members are speaking out and they are talking about human rights abuses including, but not limited to: beatings, forced abortions, child abuse, labor camps for doubters (called the Rehabilitation Project Force), disconnection of people from their families and targeting ex-members for harassment. There is also a confirmed ongoing human trafficking investigation by the FBI in relation to Scientology. Anthony’s intimate connection to this group is disturbing at best, and completely unacceptable as a public figure.

Furthermore, Mr. Muhammed openly proclaims to push Scientology “Study Tech” doctrine, deceptively repackaged as a secular revenue stream under the name “Applied Scholastics,” in public schools. This is known to be a tool to target children for indoctrination into Scientology, and has, unfortunately, already worked its way into DC public schools under the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Title I programs.

Scientology “Study Tech” has been proven to not hold up to the marketing claims promoted by the Applied Scholastics (AS) franchises. Applied Scholastics has also been dropped from the list of approved NCLB providers in five different states during the past two years, due to under-utilization and lack of evidence-based results.

Scientology also has a history of being convicted for fraud worldwide and this program is not immune from their con. Our children deserve the best education they can get; sadly, the DC schools have often been neglected and under-funded. The kids deserve better than this and I hope this matter is investigated.

Video 2: Anthony singing “we will kill you” to a protester who has a V for Vendetta mask on his head (7:30 into the video) He also makes other threats earlier in the video:

  14. jonathan mohammad. says :

What is a brother doing outside of a scientology building.
    Threatening a white protester.
Shame on you brother, have you forgotten your vows.
    You defend scientology.
You will not receive my vote.

    • Mark says :

Oath, brother. This man is not acceptable. Thank you for your perfect comment.

    • imominous says :

Haven’t you heard? The Nation of Islam has joined hands with Scientology.

I have no idea why, but NOI are showing up at all the Scientology events lately. They have pursued the black communities for years, often by befriending pastors like Alfreddie Johnson, a “reverend” who defrauded his own people with bogus section 8 vouchers. That’s right, taking advantage of mentally disabled, desperate people.

He should be disgraced, yet we rather see him gracing stages at Scientology events.
He is only one of Scientology’s covert racketeers. Here we see connections between Alfreddie, NOI and Scientology:

      This won’t end well.

  15. Jan says :

is this appropriate behavior of a Ward 8 State Board of Education Candidate to make threats?
    starts at beginning @0:10

    watch second video starting@ 7:24

    watch 3rd video starting@9:51

    • Robyn Banx says :

“is this appropriate behavior of a Ward 8 State Board of Education Candidate to make threats?”

It most certainly is NOT appropriate or acceptable. This THUG should go DOWN.

    • Mark says :

This man wants to get elected?
